Following last year, Dome Cars Ltd. had a booth at the Autosport International Show which was held in Birmingham (Great Britain) from the 11th to the 14th of this month.
Our plans were to have a grand introduction for our Racing Sports
Car which we plan to enter at this years Le Mans 24 Hours. However
the engine choosing process took more time than we hoped. This in
turn moved the date we planned to complete the car. So with nothing
to show our booth would have become a very sad one had it not been
for Mugen, who stepped in to help out. Our booth therefore became
a PR spot for Japanese Technology.
This Autosport Show shows how different the roots of this industy
is in each of our countries and I never fail to be moved whenever
I come here. Looking at the mass of booths showing racing parts lined
up like night stalls, it makes me feel that all the work I put into
trying to educate our parts makers in Japan was simply futile.
Extremely tough as a rival, but at the same time it is also an unlimited
mountain of treasures.
